Who can use?
This product is for use in adults over 18 years.
How to use?
- Adults over 18 years, apply Dovonex Psoriasis to the affected area once daily.
- You can use this medication for up to 12 weeks.
- Do not use more than 100g per week.
- Consult your doctor is you do not see at least a 50% improvement in your psoriasis after the 12 weeks of use ro if no improvement after 4 weeks
- Not suitable to apply to face, scalp, genital area and not before a shower or bath
If you are pregnant (or planning to become pregnant) or breast-feeding.
You should not use this medication if you are pregnant r planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding unless you are advised to do so by your doctor.
Precautions and warnings when using Dovonex Ointment
- Dovonex Psoriasis ointment should not be used at the same time as taking calcium or vitamin D supplements, or drugs which enhance the systemic availability of calcium.
- Avoid excessive exposure to artifical or natural sunlight during treatment
- Do not cover with an occlusive bandage after aplying Dovonex Ointment
- If extensive skin or nail involvment is present or joint pains/swelling you must see a doctor
- For use on plaque psoriasis only unless supervised by a doctor
Driving and using machines
This medication not known to affect your ability to drive or use machinery.
Possible side effects
This medication can have side-effects, like all medicines, although these are usually mild and do not affect everyone. Some common side effects include, worsening of your psoriasis, skin inflammation, redness, flaking skin, burning or stinging feeling, skin irritation, itching skin, pain in the areas where the medication is used.
