GelTears 0.2% w/w Carbomer Eye Gel 10gm is a lubricant that is used to substitute natural tears. When your eyes do not produce enough natural tears it can cause dryness and irritation. GelTears can help to prevent these symptoms. 

GelTears contain Carbomer, which clings to the surface of the eye due to its hydrophilic properties and high molecular weight. This can reduce the required frequency of administration to four times daily for those patients who usually require more frequent application of eye drops for dry eyes.

How To Use

Apply 1 in the affected eye/each affected eye, 3-4 times a day or as recommended by your doctor.

Active Ingredients

The active substance is Carbomer. Each tube contains 2.0mg of carbomer in each 1g of gel. • The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Who can use?

This product is for use in adults and children over 12 years.  

How to use?

Apply 1 in the affected eye/each affected eye, 3-4 times a day or as recommended by your doctor.

 

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Do not use GelTears if you are pregnant, may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Driving and using machines

This medication may cause temporary blurring of vision. If you do experience temporary blurring, do not drive or use machines until your sight is clear.

Possible side effects

Your eyes may sting a little when the drops are put in. These effects will wear off within a few minutes. If you get any other side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
