Can I use Epsom Salts if I am breastfeeding?
Yes, it is safe to use Epsom salts in your bath if you are breastfeeding.
Can I use these in a Sitz bath?
You can use Soak for Bits in a sitz bath by reducing the amount of product you put into your sitz bowl. My Midwife Expert recommends using a quarter to half a handful of the product in the usual sized sitz bowl.
Can I use this if I have had a C-Section?
Yes, you can use Soak for Bits if you have had a C-section. Make sure that your dressing has been removed and that your C-section wound is undergoing the normal healing process. Seek medical advice if you think your wound is becoming infected, feeling more sore as each day goes by, has redness spreading around the area, is oozing or smelling or you have any other concerns.
Can I use this if I have had stitches?
Yes, you can use Soak for Bits in your bath if you have had stitches. It will be especially helpful if you have a swollen, sore perineum and/or vulva.
Why do My Midwife Expert recommend a warm bath and not a hot bath?
My Midwife Expert have added carefully selected essential oils to Soak for Bits and these work more effectively when added to a warm rather than a hot bath, as too high a temperature will evaporate the oils more quickly.
