Prescriptions & Medicine
At Inish Pharmacy we provide a full range of prescription services. These include all the state community drug schemes as well as private prescriptions.
If you would like to have your prescription sent directly to Inish Pharmacy, please inform your GP that they can email your prescription directly to us via Healthmail.
- The email address for your GP to forward prescriptions to is inish.buncrana@healthmail.ie
Once we have received your prescription, one of our pharmacy team will give you a call to discuss prices and delivery options.
We believe that you should always get more from your prescription services than just dispensing. We will always try to provide your prescription medication with the appropriate advice and in a clear manner. There will always be a pharmacist or one of our trained staff on hand to help you with any questions you may have.
Managing medication and prescriptions can be challenging at times. At Inish Pharmacy we can help you organise your medication and prescriptions. We collect prescriptions from all the doctor’s surgeries in Inishowen and from some others within County Donegal.
We also provide dispensing compliance aids and weekly blister packs for those patients in need of this service. This can greatly improve medicines compliance and improve health outcomes. If you feel you may benefit from this service, please ask any member of staff.
At Inish Pharmacy we stock a full range of all Pharmacy-only and Over The Counter medicines. These medicines can help with a huge range of minor ailments like head lice, headache, fever, cold, flu and fungal infections but also with more chronic conditions such as asthma, hayfever, incontinence and skincare conditions such as Eczema and Psoriasis. Our staff are trained to give advice to help provide the most appropriate products for you and your family.
Inish Pharmacy can also accept prescriptions emailed to us from your G.P. using 'Healthamail'. Healthmail is a secure clinical email service that allows health care providers to send and receive clinical patient information in a secure manner. The service is provided by the Primary Care Directorate of the HSE and is managed by eHealth Ireland and supported by the ICGP and the Irish Pharmacy Union.
