How to Apply Nizoral Cream

For best results, Nizoral Cream should be applied directly to the affected area and the immediate surrounding skin.

• Preparation: Wash the infected skin thoroughly and dry it well before application.
• Dosage: Apply once or twice daily, depending on the type and severity of the infection.

Duration of Treatment: 

• General Skin Infections: Usually lasts 2 to 6 weeks.
• Seborrheic Dermatitis: Symptoms usually improve after 2 to 4 weeks.
• Maintenance: To prevent symptoms from recurring, continue using the cream for a few days after all signs of infection have disappeared. For some conditions, a once-weekly or once-fortnightly application may be required after the skin is cured.

Important Safety Information

• Steroid Use: If you have been using a steroid cream (such as hydrocortisone) to control your infection, wait two weeks before starting treatment with Nizoral Cream to prevent the condition from flaring up.
• Pregnancy & Breast-feeding: This product is considered safe for use during pregnancy and while breast-feeding.
• Hygiene: To avoid spreading the infection, keep a dedicated towel and flannel for your own use. Wash your hands carefully after every application.
• Potential Irritants: Contains propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, and stearyl alcohol, which may cause localized skin irritation or contact dermatitis.

Possible Side Effects

While usually mild, some users may experience:

• Common: Itching, skin redness, or a burning sensation at the application site.
• Uncommon: Blistering, peeling, dryness, or inflammation.
• Urgent Care: Stop use immediately if you experience severe irritation, reddening, or signs of an allergic reaction during the first few days of treatment.

Storage: Do not store above 25°C.Keep out of reach of children.
