It contains an advanced form of Folic Acid called L-methylfolate, to help increase folate levels before conception and support the healthy development of your baby in early pregnancy. L-methylfolate is a form of folate which is ready to be used directly by your body. Taking a supplement containing folic acid intake increases the maternal folate levels, which reduces the risk of developing neural tube defects in the growing foetus. It's recommended to take a suppleemt containing folic acid at least one month before trying to conceive and for up to three months after becoming pregnant.
