Domerid Relief Domperidone 10mg Tablets For Nausea and Vomiting 10 Pack

• Adults and young people aged 12 and over, weighing 35kg or more: take one tablet up to three times a day, ideally before meals, with water or another drink.
• Do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours.
• Swallow the tablet; do not chew it.
• Use the lowest dose that works. Do not take it for more than 7 days without talking to your doctor.
• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember, unless your next dose is nearly due. Never take a double dose.
• Not for children under 12, or anyone weighing less than 35kg.

Safety information

Who should not use it

Do not take Domerid Relief if you are allergic to domperidone or any of the other ingredients, or if you have: bleeding from the stomach, regular severe tummy pain or persistent black stools; a blocked or perforated gut; a prolactin-producing pituitary tumour (prolactinoma); moderate or severe liver disease; a prolonged QT interval on an ECG, or current or past heart failure; or low potassium or magnesium, or high potassium, in your blood. Do not take it with certain other medicines, including the antifungals ketoconazole (by mouth), itraconazole, fluconazole, posaconazole and voriconazole; the antibiotics erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin and spiramycin; heart medicines such as amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, disopyramide, dofetilide, sotalol and ibutilide; haloperidol, pimozide and sertindole; citalopram and escitalopram; ritonavir and saquinavir; and methadone. Warnings & precautions

Domperidone can increase the risk of heart rhythm problems and cardiac arrest. The risk is higher if you are over 60 or take more than 30mg a day. Stop taking it and contact your doctor straight away if you get palpitations, difficulty breathing or lose consciousness. Talk to your doctor before taking it if you have liver or kidney problems; with kidney problems your doctor may lower the dose and check on you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take azithromycin, roxithromycin, verapamil, diltiazem, HIV medicines, Parkinson's medicines or apomorphine. You can take antacids or acid-reducing medicines, but not at the same time as Domerid Relief. It may make you dizzy or sleepy; if so, do not drive or use machinery.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Only take it during pregnancy if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary. Small amounts pass into breast milk and may affect a baby's heart, so only use it while breastfeeding if your doctor considers it clearly necessary.

Possible side effects

Common: dry mouth. Uncommon: headache, drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, anxiety, agitation, nervousness, diarrhoea, rash, itching, hives, reduced sex drive, breast pain or tenderness, breast discharge, involuntary movements, tremor or muscle stiffness. Also reported: upward rolling of the eyes, being unable to pass urine, periods stopping, breast enlargement in men and restless legs. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if you have a fast or irregular heartbeat, a fit, or signs of an allergic reaction such as a rash, swelling of the face, difficulty breathing or fainting.

Domperidone 10mg per tablet. Contains lactose; if you have been told you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking it.

Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, magnesium stearate, povidone K30, sodium lauryl sulfate and colloidal anhydrous silica.
