Internet Supply of Non-Prescription Medicines
Inish Pharmacy is a registered retail pharmacy business and is entered on the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) Internet Supply List (Part A), which authorises the supply of non-prescription medicines over the internet. We supply non-prescription (pharmacy and general sale) medicines only, to customers located in Ireland. We do not supply prescription-only medicines over the internet.
You can verify our registration on the PSI Internet Supply List using the link in the "Our regulator" section below or clicking on the EU Common Logo at the bottom of every page on this website.
How ordering a medicine works
To support the safe supply of medicines, every medicine order is reviewed by a registered pharmacist before it is dispatched:
- Each medicine product page provides information about the medicine, including what it is used for, who it is and is not suitable for, dosage and side effects, together with the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL).
- Before you can order a medicine, you must complete a short consultation for that product and confirm that you are over 18, that you have read the product information and will use the medicine in accordance with the PIL, and the age of the person the medicine is intended for.
- Your order is then placed on hold and reviewed by one of our registered pharmacists, who may approve it, contact you for more information, or decline it where it would not be appropriate to supply.
- A medicine is only dispatched once a registered pharmacist has approved it. If an item is declined, you will be refunded and told the reason.
Age requirement
You must be 18 years of age or over to purchase medicines from our website.
Record keeping
As a pharmacy registered on the PSI Internet Supply List, we keep records of the supply of non-prescription medicines in line with our regulatory obligations. For each medicine order we retain the details of the transaction; a record confirming the checks completed before supply (that the purchaser is over 18, is aware that the medicine should be used in accordance with the product packaging and Patient Information Leaflet, and that the quantity is reasonable for personal treatment, having regard to any previous supply); and a record of the registered pharmacist's review and authorisation.
A record of each transaction is retained for two years from the date of supply, held securely in line with data protection law, and is available for inspection by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and the Health Products Regulatory Authority.
