How to Use

Easofen Max Strength is suitable for adults and adolescents weighing at least 40kg (aged 12 years and older).

• Dosage: Take one 400mg capsule with a glass of water.
• Frequency: If required, take another capsule after at least 6 hours.
• Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 3 capsules (1200mg) in any 24-hour period.
• Sensitive Stomachs: For patients with sensitive stomachs, it is recommended to take the capsule during a meal.
• Duration of use: In adults, you should contact a doctor if symptoms worsen, if fever persists for more than 3 days, or if pain lasts longer than 4 days. For adolescents (12–18 years), medical advice should be sought if the medicine is required for more than 3 days.

As with all medicines, Easofen Max Strength 400mg Soft Capsules may not be suitable for everyone. Please read the following information carefully before use.

Who Should NOT take this medication?

Do not take Easofen Max if you:

• Are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients in this medicine (including macrogol, potassium hydroxide, gelatin, sorbitol, or the coloring agent Ponceau 4R).
• Have ever suffered from shortness of breath, asthma, a runny nose, swelling, or hives after taking aspirin or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs).
• Have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach ulcer, perforation, or bleeding.
• Have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy.
• Suffer from severe liver, kidney, or heart failure.
• Have active bleeding (including bleeding in the brain) or unclarified blood-forming disturbances.
• Are severely dehydrated due to vomiting, diarrhoea, or lack of fluid intake.
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
• Weigh less than 40kg or are a child under 12 years of age.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking if:

• You have hereditary blood formation disorders (e.g., acute intermittent porphyria).
• You suffer from certain immune system diseases (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or mixed connective tissue disease).
• You have a history of bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s disease).
• You have high blood pressure, heart problems, or have previously had a stroke.
• You suffer from asthma, hayfever, or chronic respiratory disorders.

Possible Side Effects

STOP taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you experience:

• Signs of intestinal bleeding: Bright red stools, black tarry stools, or vomiting blood/dark particles.
• Signs of a severe allergic reaction: Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing; or a sudden drop in blood pressure.
• Severe skin reactions: Skin rash, blistering, or peeling of the skin.

Common Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

• Gastrointestinal complaints such as heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, wind (flatulence), diarrhoea, or constipation.

Uncommon Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):

• Headache, dizziness, sleeplessness, agitation, irritability, or tiredness.
• Visual disturbances.
• Stomach or intestinal ulcers.
