Excedrin Migraine & Headache Tablets 20 Pack

• Adults: take 2 tablets every 6 hours as needed, with water.
• Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
• Not for anyone under 16.

Safety information

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are under 16 (risk of Reye's syndrome from aspirin); if you are allergic to paracetamol, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs); if you have a stomach ulcer or a history of stomach bleeding; if you have a bleeding problem or take anticoagulants such as warfarin; if you have severe heart, kidney or liver problems; in the last three months of pregnancy; or if aspirin or similar painkillers bring on your asthma.

Warnings & precautions

Do not take any other medicine containing paracetamol at the same time (risk of liver damage), and do not take other aspirin- or NSAID-containing products together. If you get headaches on 10 or more days a month this may be medication-overuse headache - see your doctor. Limit other caffeine and avoid alcohol. Stop and seek urgent help for signs of stomach bleeding (black stools, or vomit like coffee grounds) or an allergic reaction.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist, and avoid in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Possible side effects

Indigestion and nausea; stomach irritation or bleeding; with the caffeine, nervousness, sleeplessness or palpitations. Rarely, allergic reactions.
