Product Information

This is a simple finger prick blood test for the qualitive detection of human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) for self-testing in vitro diagnostic use only. This test can check if you are likely low in Thyroid levels. Signs of low thyroid levels (Hypothyroidism) include fatigue, excess bleeding during periods and poor memory and concentration.

This test detects TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) in whole blood, with a cut-off concentration of 5 µIU/mL. As TSH activates your thyroid gland, a TSH level above 5 µIU/mL indicates an under-active thyroid, which needs more TSH.

  • Lancet for finger pricking

  • Alcohol prep pad

How to use
  • Rotate and pull out cover on lancet
  • Use the alcohol prep pad to wipe the fingertip
  • Use the lancet to prick the finger
  • Allow a drop of blood to form on the pricked fingertip
  • Use the capillary droper to collect blood sample, do not squeeze the dropper
  • Squeeeze the dropper to apply the blood smaple to the test well
  • Apply two drops of buffer solution to the test well
  • Wait ten minutes for the results

How To Read Results

  • Lines present in both C and T = TSH level is higher than the normal 5µIU/ml and you should consult your doctor
  • Line only present at C = normal Thyroid levels
  • Line only present at T = Invalid test result due to insuffient specimen volume or incorrect procedural technique
