Anusol HC Suppositories 12 Pack

• Adults over 18 years only. Wash and dry the anal area, then remove the wrapper and gently insert one suppository into the back passage.
• Use one at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement, up to a maximum of 3 a day.
• Wash your hands before and after use. For rectal use only - do not take by mouth.
• Do not use for more than 7 days. If symptoms do not improve, or you notice rectal bleeding, consult your doctor.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (including Peru balsam or benzyl benzoate); if you have a tubercular, fungal or viral infection in the area (such as herpes, cold sores or chickenpox); if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; or if you are under 18 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

This product contains a steroid (hydrocortisone). Do not use it for longer than 7 days or repeatedly over a long period without medical advice, as prolonged use of a steroid in this area can thin the skin. See your doctor before use if you have any rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, or if your symptoms do not settle.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Occasionally local irritation or a burning sensation. With prolonged use the skin in the area may thin. Stop use and seek advice if you have an allergic reaction.

Each suppository contains hydrocortisone acetate 10mg, zinc oxide 296mg, benzyl benzoate 33mg, bismuth oxide 24mg, bismuth subgallate 59mg and Peru balsam (balsam of Peru) 49mg.
