Buscopan 10mg Dosage Guide for Adults

For the most effective relief of stomach cramps and IBS symptoms, follow these dosage instructions carefully:

• For Abdominal Cramps (Adults & Children 12+): Take two tablets up to four times a day.
• For IBS Symptoms (Adults & Children 12+): Start by taking one tablet three times a day. This can be increased to a maximum of two tablets four times a day if required.
• Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 8 tablets (80mg) in any 24-hour period.
• How to Take: Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablets, as they are specially coated for a slow release.
• Duration: Do not take Buscopan continuously for more than 2 weeks without consulting your doctor.

Buscopan is specifically formulated for adults and children over 12 years old who experience discomfort or spasms in the digestive tract.

Important Safety Warnings:

• Over 40s: If you are over 40 years of age and it has been some time since your last attack, or if your symptoms feel different this time, you must consult your doctor before use.
• Pregnancy & Breast-feeding: You should not take Buscopan if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are currently breast-feeding.
• Medical Conditions: This medicine is not suitable for individuals with glaucoma (increased eye pressure), myasthenia gravis, or a confirmed blockage of the bowel.
• Sugar Intolerance: Each tablet contains sucrose. If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, please contact our pharmacist or your GP before use.
