Lemsip Cold & Flu 500mg Hot Lemon

• Empty one sachet into a mug, fill with hot but not boiling water and stir. Let it cool to a comfortable drinking temperature.
• Adults, the elderly and children aged 16 and over: one sachet every 4 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 6 sachets in 24 hours.
• Children aged 12 to 15 years: one sachet every 4 to 6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 4 sachets in 24 hours.
• Not for children under 12 years.
• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms have not improved after 3 days.

Who should not use it

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients, if you are already taking any other medicine containing paracetamol, or if you are under 12 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

Never take this alongside another paracetamol-containing product - paracetamol is in a great many cold, flu and painkilling medicines, so check the label of anything else you are taking. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you have liver or kidney problems, or if you regularly drink a lot of alcohol, as alcohol increases the risk of harm from paracetamol. Tell your pharmacist if you take warfarin or the antibiotic flucloxacillin. Do not take it for longer than a few days without medical advice.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Paracetamol can be used in pregnancy if needed - take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest time. It passes into breast milk only in tiny amounts, so it can be used while breastfeeding. Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure.

Possible side effects

Side effects are uncommon. Allergic reactions such as a skin rash can occur, and very rarely more serious skin reactions or changes in the blood. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if you develop a rash, blistering, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.
