Nurofen Cold & Flu 200mg/30mg Film Coated Tablets

• Adults and children aged 12 and over: take 2 tablets with water, with or just after food.
• Then, if needed, take 1 or 2 tablets every 4 hours. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.
• Do not take for more than 3 days. If your symptoms last longer or get worse, see your doctor.
• Not for children under 12.

Who should not use it

Do not take if you are allergic to ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine, aspirin or other NSAIDs or any of the ingredients; if you have ever had asthma, wheezing, a runny nose, swelling or a rash after taking these medicines; if you have, or have had, a stomach ulcer, bleeding or perforation; if you have severe heart, liver or kidney disease or kidney failure, heart disease or circulation problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid or prostate problems, or a phaeochromocytoma; if you are already taking another NSAID; if you take, or have taken in the last 14 days, MAOI or RIMA antidepressants; if you take tricyclic antidepressants, beta-blockers or other decongestants; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; or if you are under 12.

Warnings & precautions

Do not take with any other medicine containing ibuprofen, aspirin, another NSAID or a decongestant, including other cold and flu remedies. Take with or just after food. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have asthma or allergies, kidney or liver problems, or take blood thinners, steroids, lithium, methotrexate, blood pressure medicines or heart medicines such as digoxin. Avoid during chickenpox. Anti-inflammatory painkillers carry a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Stop taking it and get urgent medical help if you develop a sudden severe headache, confusion, fits, changes in your vision or sudden loss of vision, or sudden tummy pain or bleeding from the bottom. Stop taking it if you have hallucinations, restlessness or trouble sleeping. Ibuprofen can hide the signs of an infection. Contains Sunset Yellow (E110), which may cause allergic reactions.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ibuprofen may also reduce female fertility while you take it.

Possible side effects

Indigestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, skin rash, headache and dizziness. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if you have black or tarry stools or vomit blood, signs of an allergic reaction (swelling of the face or throat, wheezing, difficulty breathing), a severe skin reaction (blistering, peeling or a widespread rash), or a fast or irregular heartbeat.

Each tablet contains ibuprofen 200mg and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30mg. Also contains Sunset Yellow (E110), which may cause allergic reactions, and Quinoline Yellow (E104).
