Panadol 500mg Paracetamol Film Coated Tablets

• Swallow with water, leaving at least 4 hours between doses.
• Adults, the elderly and children 16 years and over: 1-2 tablets up to 4 times a day. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Children 10-15 years: 1 tablet up to 4 times a day. Do not give more than 4 tablets in 24 hours, or for more than 3 days without medical advice.
• Not recommended for children under 10 years.
• Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing medicine.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients, or if you are taking any other paracetamol-containing medicine.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney problems, drink a lot of alcohol, or are very underweight or malnourished. Tell your doctor if you take flucloxacillin, as combining it with paracetamol carries a risk of a serious blood and fluid problem (metabolic acidosis). Do not take for longer than 3 days without advice, and do not exceed the stated dose - if an overdose is taken, seek immediate medical help even if you feel well.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Paracetamol can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding at the recommended dose. Use the lowest dose for the shortest time, and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you need it regularly.

Possible side effects

Side effects are rare. Stop use and seek advice if you notice an allergic reaction (rash, itching or swelling) or any unusual bruising or bleeding.
