Panadol Extra Tablets

• Adults and children aged 12 and over: take 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
• Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours, and leave at least 4 hours between doses.
• Not for children under 12.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine or any ingredient, if you have taken another paracetamol-containing medicine in the last 4 hours, or in children under 12. Ask your pharmacist first if you have liver or kidney problems or regularly drink alcohol.

Warnings & precautions

Contains paracetamol - do not take with any other paracetamol-containing product, and do not exceed the dose, as too much can cause serious liver damage. Contains caffeine - avoid taking with other caffeine sources (tea, coffee, energy drinks), as too much may cause restlessness or difficulty sleeping. If you take too much, get medical advice at once even if you feel well.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Paracetamol can usually be used, but a high caffeine intake is not advised - ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Possible side effects

Side effects are uncommon at the recommended dose; rarely, allergic reactions. The caffeine may cause restlessness or difficulty sleeping.
