Paralink Paracetamol Suppositories 180mg 10 Pack

• Wash your hands. Remove the wrapper and gently push the suppository into your child's back passage, pointed end first. Wash your hands afterwards.
• 3 months to 1 year (5-10kg): half a suppository per dose.
• 1 to 3 years (10-15kg): one suppository per dose.
• 3 to 6 years (15-20kg): one and a half suppositories per dose.
• Leave at least 6 hours between doses and never give more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
• Do not give them for more than 3 days without talking to your doctor or pharmacist.
• Not for babies under 3 months.

Who should not use it

Do not give these suppositories to a baby under 3 months old, to a child who is allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients, or to a child who is already taking any other medicine containing paracetamol.

Warnings & precautions

Never give these alongside another paracetamol-containing medicine - it is easily done if a child is also getting a paracetamol liquid, so check what else has been given and when. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor first if your child has liver or kidney problems. Give the dose for your child's age and weight and no more: an overdose of paracetamol can cause serious and irreversible liver damage, even if your child seems well at first. If your child accidentally gets too much, get medical help straight away.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

This is a medicine for babies and children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding and looking for paracetamol for yourself, ask your pharmacist which product to use.

Possible side effects

Side effects are uncommon. Allergic reactions can occur. Stop giving them and get medical help straight away if your child develops a rash, blistering or peeling skin, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing, or if you notice unexpected bruising or bleeding, a sore throat, repeated infections, unusual paleness or breathlessness.
