SelfCheck Home Screening Menopause Test is an easy to use home test that determines whether you have had your last period and reached the post menopause stage. The SelfCheck Menopause test measures your Follicle-stimulating Hormone (FSH) levels. A constant high level of FSH - as high as 25mU/ml may indicate that your ovaries are not working and consequently no egg production is happening. With high FSH and menopausal symptoms, medical guidance can help you know whether you are still fertile or in menopause. This test will help determine how to manage your symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings etc.

How to use

The test can be performed at any time of the day, but it is recommended to try first thing in the early morning. 

Collect a sample of urine and dip the test strip into the collected sample for 3 seconds. Full instructions for use included

Results

  • If two purple lines appear in the result window, and the lower line is the same shade or darker than the upper line, then your result is positive.
  • You should repeat the test with the second test strip after exactly one week.
  • If both tests yield a positive result you can assume that you have reached post-menopause.

Warning

  • Please read the enclosed instructions for use carefully before performing the test. 
  • Do not open the foil pouch until you are ready to perform the test.
  • Keep out of the reach of children. 
  • Do not use if the foil pouch is damaged, or after the expiry date.
  • Use each test strip only once. 
  • After use - the contents can be disposed of with normal household waste.
