Strepsils Intensive Honey & Lemon Lozenges 16 Pack

• Adults and children over 12 years: suck one lozenge slowly every 3-6 hours as required. Move it around your mouth as it dissolves to avoid local irritation. Do not chew or swallow it whole.
• Do not take more than 5 lozenges in 24 hours.
• Not suitable for children under 12 years.
• For short-term use - do not use for more than 3 days unless your doctor tells you to.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to flurbiprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the ingredients; if you have ever had asthma, wheezing, a runny nose, facial swelling or a rash after taking these medicines; if you have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach or intestinal ulcer or bleeding; if you have severe heart failure; if you are in the last three months of pregnancy; or if you are under 12 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have heart, kidney or liver problems, high blood pressure, asthma, or a history of stomach problems, or take blood thinners, aspirin, other NSAIDs or corticosteroids. Anti-inflammatory painkillers carry a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke at high doses or with prolonged use. Stop use if mouth or throat irritation occurs, or at the first sign of a rash, blistering or peeling. Contains sucrose and glucose (about 2.5g carbohydrate per lozenge) - take into account if you have diabetes.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Avoid in pregnancy, particularly the last three months. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

The most common are mouth or throat irritation, a change in taste and mouth ulcers, and sometimes dizziness. Stop use and seek help urgently if you have signs of stomach bleeding, a serious allergic reaction or a severe skin reaction.

Each lozenge contains flurbiprofen 8.75mg. Also contains sucrose, glucose, honey and levomenthol (about 2.5g carbohydrate per lozenge).
