  • Clothing: Leave clothing loose around the neck and chest to help the vapors rise toward the nose and mouth.
  • Important: Never apply Vicks into the nostrils, on broken skin, or to children under 2 years old.

  • No. Vicks VapoRub (including the applicator) is only suitable for children aged 2 years and older. For younger babies, we recommend Vicks BabyRub.

Does the applicator get "clogged"?

  • The applicator is designed to remain smooth. To keep it hygienic, simply wipe the head with a clean tissue after each use before replacing the cap.

Can I use it for steam inhalation?

  • No. Unlike the jar version, the applicator stick should not be melted in hot water for steam inhalation. It is designed for topical skin application only.
