Viralief Aciclovir 50mg/g Cold Sore Cream 2g

Start as early as possible. Wash your hands. Apply a thin layer to the cold sore and surrounding skin five times a day, at about four-hour intervals, for five days; if not healed, you can continue for up to another five days.

For the lips and face only — not the eyes, inside the mouth or nose, or the genitals. Wash your hands after applying.

Who should not use it?

Do not use if you are allergic to aciclovir, valaciclovir, propylene glycol or any of the ingredients. Do not use for mouth ulcers or for herpes in or near the eyes.

Warnings & precautions

See a doctor if the cold sore is severe or if you have a weakened immune system. Avoid sharing the tube.

Possible side effects

Temporary stinging, burning or itching, dryness or flaking, and mild redness at the site. Rarely, an allergic reaction — stop use and seek advice.
