Product Information

Xtex Carbocisteine Oral Solution helps loosen sticky mucus and chesty coughs. This sugar free formula is a mucolytic agent for the adjunctive therapy of respiratory tract disorders characterised by excessive, viscous mucus and phlegm. By 'thinning out' thick mucus, chesty coughs are relieved.

How to use

Adults and children over 12 years:

The usual dose is 15ml, three times daily initially, reducing to 10ml three times daily when a satisfactory response has been obtained.

Children aged 6-12 years:

The usual dose is one 5ml teaspoon (250mg) two to three times daily.

Active Ingredients

Each 5ml solution contains 250mg carbocisteine

Methyl-parahydroxybenzoate (E 210) & propyl-parahydroxybenzoate (E 217), Sunset yellow (E 110) and maltitol (E965). Contains Sodium.
