Choosing Your Perfect Serum
To help you find the right concentrate for your routine, we have categorised our serums by their primary skin benefit.
Hyalu B5 Serum is a cult favourite for a reason. It uses two types of pure Hyaluronic Acid to immediately replump the skin and smooth out fine lines caused by dehydration.
For Radiance & Brightening
Pure Vitamin C10 Serum is the gold standard for dull skin. It reveals sensitive skin's full radiance while improving skin texture and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
For Dark Spots & Hyperpigmentation
The new Mela B3 Serum features the multi-patented Melasyl™ and 10% Niacinamide to intercept excess melanin and correct persistent dark spots.
For Blemishes & Oily Skin
Effaclar Serum is specifically for adult acne. It combines Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid to unclog pores and refine skin texture.
For Barrier Repair
Cicaplast B5 Serum is your "recovery" serum. It acts like a bandage for the skin, providing 24-hour hydration and repairing the moisture barrier in just 1 hour.
For Resurfacing & Wrinkles
Retinol B3 Serum provides a unique combination of pure and gradual-release retinol to renew skin and firm the complexion without the usual irritation.
Frequently Asked Questions: Serum Layering & Usage
How do I layer La Roche-Posay serums?
The general rule is to apply your serums after cleansing and before your moisturiser. If you are using two serums, apply the thinnest consistency first. For example, apply Hyalu B5 (hydration) followed by Mela B3 (correction).
Can I use different serums for morning and night?
Yes! We recommend using antioxidant-rich serums like Vitamin C10 in the morning to protect against daily environmental damage, and renewing serums like Retinol B3 or Effaclar Serum at night.
Do I still need a moisturiser?
Yes. Serums deliver active ingredients deep into the skin, but a moisturiser (like Toleriane or Anthelios SPF) is needed to "lock" those ingredients in and provide a protective layer on the surface.
Should I use SPF with these serums?
Absolutely. Ingredients like Retinol, Vitamin C, and the acids in Effaclar can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Always follow your morning serum with a high-protection SPF like Anthelios UVMune 400.
