Balance Activ BV Treatment Gel 7 Pack

• Use one tube a day, at bedtime, for 7 days.
• Insert the neck of the tube gently into the vagina, squeeze to empty it, then remove and throw the tube away.
• A panty liner can help with any leakage.
• If symptoms come back, the 7-day course can be repeated. For ongoing use, the manufacturer suggests 1 to 2 tubes a week, for example after your period or after sex.

Safety information

Who should not use it

Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, if you are trying to conceive (it lowers vaginal pH, which is not suitable for sperm), or if the vaginal area is sore or broken. It is not a contraceptive. The manufacturer recommends it from age 16.

Warnings & precautions

It is not compatible with natural rubber latex or polyurethane condoms, which it may damage. Polyisoprene condoms can be used. Do not use it with a contraceptive vaginal ring. If you have a coil (IUD), check with your GP or pharmacist first. Check the leaflet in the pack about use around your period. See your GP instead if it is the first time you have had these symptoms, if you are pregnant, if symptoms keep coming back, or if you have pain, a fever, lower tummy pain, bleeding between periods or after sex, or blood in your discharge.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

If you are pregnant and think you have BV, see your GP or midwife, and check with them before using it. If you are breastfeeding, ask your pharmacist first.

Possible side effects

A mild, short-lived tingling or stinging when you apply it. Stop using it if you get irritation that does not settle.

Ingredients: purified water, propylene glycol, lactic acid, methylhydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium lactate, glycogen. Preservative-free and hormone-free. If you have any allergies, check the pack for allergen information before use.
