Balance Activ BV Treatment Pessaries 7 Pack

• Use one pessary a day, at bedtime, for 7 days.
• Wash your hands, remove the foil and, lying down, insert the pessary gently into the vagina.
• If symptoms come back, the 7-day course can be repeated.

Who should not use it

Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, if you are trying to conceive, or if the pessary is damaged or past its expiry date. It is not a contraceptive. The manufacturer recommends it from age 16.

Warnings & precautions

Check the leaflet in the pack about using it with condoms, a contraceptive ring or a coil (IUD), and around your period. See your GP instead if it is the first time you have had these symptoms, if you are pregnant, if symptoms keep coming back, or if you have pain, a fever, lower tummy pain, bleeding between periods or after sex, or blood in your discharge.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

If you are pregnant and think you have BV, see your GP or midwife, and check with them before using it. If you are breastfeeding, ask your pharmacist first.

Possible side effects

Stop using it if you get irritation, stinging or discomfort that does not settle.

Ingredients: polyethylene glycol (macrogols), lactic acid, sodium hydroxide, glycogen. pH 3.6 to 4.2. Contains no preservatives. Hormone-free.
