Benylin 4 Flu Tablets 24 Pack

• Swallow the tablets whole with water.
• Adults, the elderly and children 16 years and over: 2 tablets up to 4 times a day. Do not take more often than every 4 hours.
• Children 10-15 years: 1 tablet up to 4 times a day. Do not take more often than every 4 hours.
• Not for children under 10 years. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours, or for more than 5 days without medical advice.
• Do not take with any other paracetamol, cough, cold or decongestant medicine, or other antihistamines.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, diphenhydramine or any of the ingredients; if you have heart disease or high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, phaeochromocytoma, glaucoma or severe kidney problems; if you take beta-blockers, other sympathomimetics (stimulants, appetite suppressants, decongestants), other diphenhydramine products, or MAOI/RIMA antidepressants (now or in the last 2 weeks); or for children under 10.

Warnings & precautions

This medicine can make you sleepy - do not drive or use tools or machines if affected, and do not drink alcohol. Do not use it to make a child sleepy. Tell your doctor if you take flucloxacillin (risk of a serious blood and fluid problem, metabolic acidosis). Stop and get urgent help if you develop a sudden severe headache or vision changes, or sudden abdominal pain or rectal bleeding. Contains the colour sunset yellow (E110), which may cause allergic reactions.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; it is generally not recommended.

Possible side effects

The most common are drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness and difficulty sleeping. Stop use and seek advice if you have an allergic reaction, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or the rare warning signs above.

Each tablet contains paracetamol 500mg, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 22.5mg and diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5mg. Contains sunset yellow (E110) and sodium.
