Disprin Original 300mg Dispersible Tabs 12 Pack

• Dissolve the tablets in a glass of water and drink. Adults and adolescents 16 years and over: 1-2 tablets every 3-4 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Not for children under 16 years, because of the risk of Reye's syndrome (a rare but serious condition).
• Take only when needed and for the shortest time. If there is no improvement within 24 hours, or symptoms persist, see your doctor.
• Do not take with other aspirin or anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medicines.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs); if you have or have had a stomach ulcer or other stomach/bowel problems; if you have a bleeding disorder such as haemophilia; if you take other aspirin or NSAIDs; if you are in the last three months of pregnancy or are breastfeeding; or if you are under 16 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have asthma, gout, a history of stomach problems, kidney, liver or heart problems, or if you are elderly or about to have surgery (tell your surgeon you take aspirin). Tell your pharmacist if you take blood thinners, methotrexate or other prescribed medicines. Avoid alcohol, which increases the risk of stomach bleeding. Prolonged use without medical advice may be harmful.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor advises, and it must not be used in the last three months of pregnancy.

Possible side effects

The most common are indigestion and stomach irritation. Stop use and seek help urgently if you notice signs of stomach bleeding (black stools or vomiting blood), unusual bruising or bleeding, or an allergic reaction such as wheezing or swelling.
