Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablet Peppermint 24 Pack

• Adults and children aged 12 years and over: chew one to two tablets thoroughly after meals and at bedtime.
• Not for children under 12 years except on the advice of a doctor.
• Leave at least two hours between this medicine and any other medicine you take.
• Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better, or feel worse, after 7 days.

Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Warnings & precautions

Each tablet contains 53.22mg of sodium and 39.43mg (1.01mmol) of potassium - talk to your pharmacist first if you are on a low-sodium diet, have kidney problems or have been told to watch your potassium intake. Contains aspartame, a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful if you have phenylketonuria (PKU). Taking this medicine at the same time as tetracycline or fluoroquinolone antibiotics, iron salts, thyroid hormones, chloroquine, bisphosphonates or estramustine can stop them working properly, so leave a two-hour gap. It is intended for short-term use.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

You can take this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Uncommonly, diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting. Very rarely an allergic reaction - skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, dizziness or swelling. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if that happens.

Each chewable tablet contains sodium alginate 500mg and potassium hydrogen carbonate 100mg. Also contains aspartame (a source of phenylalanine), 53.22mg sodium and 39.43mg potassium per tablet.
