• Adults and children aged 12 years and over: chew two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day.
• Not for children under 12 years except on the advice of a doctor.
• Do not take within two hours of taking other medicines.
• See your doctor if your symptoms persist after 7 days.

Who should not use it

Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, or if you have been told you have very low blood phosphate levels (hypophosphataemia).

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before use if you have significant kidney or heart disease, a history of kidney stones or high blood calcium, or produce little stomach acid. Each tablet contains 55.89mg of sodium and 75mg of calcium; the maximum daily dose contains 894.24mg of sodium, close to half the recommended daily maximum. Do not take within two hours of other medicines, as absorption may be affected. Long-term use can mask a more serious underlying condition, so see your doctor if symptoms keep coming back.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

You can take this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, but keep the treatment period as short as possible.

Possible side effects

Very rarely an allergic reaction, which can include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, dizziness or swelling. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if that happens.

Each chewable tablet contains sodium alginate 250mg, sodium bicarbonate 106.5mg and calcium carbonate 187.5mg - giving 55.89mg sodium and 75mg calcium per tablet.
