Gaviscon Extra Oral Solution Mint 600ml

• Shake the bottle well. Adults and children 12 years and over: 10-20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime.
• Children under 12 years: only on the advice of a doctor.
• Leave about 2 hours between Gaviscon and other medicines. If symptoms persist after 7 days, talk to your doctor.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, the parabens (E218/E216) or any of the ingredients.

Warnings & precautions

This product is high in sodium - take this into account if you are on a low-salt diet or have heart or kidney problems. It also contains calcium; take care if you have high calcium levels or a history of kidney stones. See your doctor if you are over 40 and have new or recently changed heartburn or indigestion. Leave a 2-hour gap before or after other medicines such as certain antibiotics, iron or thyroid tablets.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Side effects are rare but can include an allergic reaction (such as a rash or wheezing). Taking more than needed may cause bloating or stomach discomfort.

Each 10ml contains sodium alginate 500mg, sodium bicarbonate 213mg and calcium carbonate 325mg. High in sodium; contains the parabens methyl (E218) and propyl (E216) parahydroxybenzoate.
