Lemsip Cough And Cold Capsules With Caffeine 12 Pack

• Swallow the capsules whole with water.
• Adults, the elderly and children aged 16 and over: two capsules every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 8 capsules in 24 hours.
• Children aged 12 to 15 years: one capsule every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 capsules in 24 hours.
• Not for children under 12 years.
• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms have not improved after 3 days.

Who should not use it

Do not take these capsules if you are allergic to paracetamol, guaifenesin, caffeine or any of the ingredients, if you have porphyria, if you are already taking another paracetamol-containing product, or if you are under 12 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

Never take these alongside another paracetamol-containing product. They contain caffeine, so go easy on tea, coffee and energy drinks while taking them - too much caffeine can leave you restless, jittery or unable to sleep, and it may affect your ability to drive. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you have liver or kidney problems, and avoid alcohol. If you are over 16 and weigh under 50kg, are dehydrated or undernourished, or drink heavily, do not take more than 4 capsules a day. Tell your pharmacist if you take warfarin, metoclopramide, domperidone, cholestyramine or the antibiotic flucloxacillin.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking these capsules if you are pregnant or breastfeeding - the caffeine content is the reason they are not simply recommended.

Possible side effects

Uncommonly, feeling sick, being sick, dizziness, restlessness or difficulty sleeping. Rarely, allergic reactions or a fall in the blood cells that help clotting. Stop taking them and get medical help straight away if you develop a rash, blistering, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.
