Night Nurse Cold & Flu Liquid 160ml

• For night-time use only. Adults and children 16 years and over: 20ml (fill the measuring cup to the 20ml mark, or four 5ml spoonfuls) just before going to bed.
• Do not take a daytime dose, and do not take it if you have already had 4 doses of a paracetamol-containing medicine during the day.
• Not for children under 16 years except on medical advice.
• Do not take with any other paracetamol, cold, flu or decongestant medicine, or with alcohol.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol, promethazine, dextromethorphan or any of the ingredients; if you have liver or kidney disease; if you take (or have in the last 2 weeks) MAOI antidepressants; if you have a persistent or chronic cough (such as with asthma, smoking or emphysema) or a cough with a lot of phlegm, unless a doctor advises; if you take other paracetamol-containing medicines; or for children under 16.

Warnings & precautions

This medicine can make you sleepy - do not drive or use tools or machines if affected. It contains 18% alcohol, as well as sodium and glucose, so take care if you have diabetes or are on a low-sodium diet. Tell your doctor if you take flucloxacillin (risk of a serious blood and fluid problem, metabolic acidosis) or medicines that affect heart rhythm. Do not take with other paracetamol products or with alcohol, and use only at night when clearly needed.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Possible side effects

The most common is drowsiness, along with dry mouth or dizziness. Stop use and seek advice if you have an allergic reaction or any rare warning signs of a serious reaction.

Each 20ml dose contains paracetamol 1000mg, promethazine hydrochloride 20mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15mg. Also contains 18% v/v alcohol (ethanol), sodium and glucose.
