Panadol Actifast 500mg Soluble Tablets 12 Pack

• Dissolve the tablets in water and drink.
• Adults and children aged 16 and over: one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Children aged 10 to 15 years: one tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.
• Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
• Not for children under 10 years.
• Do not give it to a child for more than 3 days without talking to your doctor.

Who should not use it

Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients, if you are already taking any other medicine containing paracetamol, or if you are under 10 years of age.

Warnings & precautions

Never take these alongside another paracetamol-containing product - paracetamol is in a great many cold, flu and painkilling medicines, so check the label of anything else you are taking. Do not exceed the stated dose, and do not take a dose more often than every 4 hours. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you have liver or kidney problems, or if you drink alcohol regularly. Tell your pharmacist if you take warfarin, metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine or the antibiotic flucloxacillin - flucloxacillin taken alongside paracetamol carries a risk of a serious blood-acid problem, particularly if you are seriously unwell or undernourished. Taking more than the stated dose can cause serious and irreversible liver damage, even if you feel well at first; if you take too much, get medical help straight away.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Paracetamol can be used in pregnancy if needed - take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest time. It can also be used while breastfeeding. Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure.

Possible side effects

Side effects are very rare. Allergic reactions can occur, including serious skin reactions. Stop taking them and get medical help straight away if you develop a rash, blistering or peeling skin, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.

Each soluble tablet contains paracetamol 500mg. Each tablet also contains 427mg of sodium - worth knowing if you are on a low-sodium diet, as the maximum daily dose contains about 3,416mg.
