Paralink Paracetamol Suppositories 500mg 10 Pack

• For rectal use only. Wash and dry your hands before and after use. If you or your child needs to open the bowels, do this first, then insert the suppository pointed end first.
• Children 6-12 years (20-40kg): 1 suppository per dose.
• Adults and children over 12 years: 2 suppositories per dose.
• Leave at least 6 hours between doses and do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
• Not for children under 6 years. Do not use with any other paracetamol-containing medicine, or for more than 3 days without medical advice.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients, if you are taking any other paracetamol-containing medicine, or for children under 6 years.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney problems, or drink a lot of alcohol. Tell your doctor if you take flucloxacillin, as combining it with paracetamol carries a risk of a serious blood and fluid problem (metabolic acidosis). Do not exceed the stated dose - if an overdose is taken, seek immediate medical advice even if you feel well.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Paracetamol can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding at the recommended dose. Use the lowest dose for the shortest time, and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Possible side effects

Side effects are rare. Stop use and seek advice if you notice an allergic reaction (rash, itching or swelling) or any unusual bruising or bleeding.
