How to Take Rowalief Paracetamol: Dosage & Duration

For safety and efficacy, Rowalief should be swallowed with a drink of water and taken according to the following schedule:

• Adults & Teens (>15 yrs, >55kg)

Take 1 or 2 tablets (500mg–1000mg) every 4 to 6 hours. Maximum dosage of 6 tablets (or 8 for severe pain) in 24 hours.

• Adolescents (12–15 yrs, 40–55kg)

Take 1 tablet (500mg) every 4 to 6 hours. maximum of 2 tablets (2500mg) in 24 hours.

• Children 11-12 years

Take 1 tablet every 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 4 tablets (2000mg paracetamol) in any 24 hour period.

• Children 8-11 years

Take half a tablet every 4 hours or 1 tablet every 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 full tablets (1500mg paracetamol) in any 24 hour period.

Important Timing Rules

• Minimum Interval: You must leave at least 4 hours between every dose.
• Mandatory Duration: You should see a doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days.
• Shortest Time Possible: Always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms.

Who Cannot Take Paracetamol?

Do not take Rowalief Paracetamol tablets if:

• You are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients listed in the pack (such as maize starch or povidone).
• You are already taking any other paracetamol-containing products.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

• Have kidney or liver disease (including Gilbert's syndrome or chronic hepatitis).
• Regularly consume excess amounts of alcohol or have an addiction to alcohol.
• Are in a poor nutritional state (e.g., due to eating disorders, starvation, cystic fibrosis, or HIV).
• Have severe haemolytic anaemia or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
• Are dehydrated or very malnourished.

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, Rowalief can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Serious Side Effects (Stop use and see a doctor immediately):

• Allergic Reactions: Swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue (angioedema), difficulty breathing, or skin rash.
• Severe Skin Reactions: Very rare cases of serious skin rash or peeling, which may be accompanied by mouth ulcers (Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
• Metabolic Acidosis: In patients with severe illness, symptoms like rapid breathing, drowsiness, and vomiting may occur.

Other Side Effects:

• Rare (up to 1 in 1,000): Hives, itching, sweating, small skin hemorrhages (purpura), or increased liver enzymes.
• Uncommon: Blood disorders (reduction in platelets or white blood cells), stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or yellowing of the eyes (jaundice).
• Specific Sensitivity: Narrowing of the airways/breathing difficulties may occur in patients with a sensitivity to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
