Safe & Sound Calico Triangular Bandage

• Arm sling: sit the person down and support the injured forearm with the wrist slightly higher than the elbow.
• Pass one end over the uninjured shoulder and slide the bandage between the chest and the injured arm, with the point beyond the elbow.
• Bring the lower end up over the arm to meet the other end and tie at the shoulder on the injured side.
• Secure the point at the elbow with a safety pin or tape. The sling should reach the base of the little finger.
• Check circulation in the fingers regularly and loosen if needed.
• Care: hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse, squeeze without wringing and do not iron. Store in a cool, dry place.

Not sterile: do not place directly on an open wound; use a sterile dressing underneath. Get medical help for suspected fractures, dislocations, head, neck or back injuries, or if pain is severe, symptoms worsen or there are signs of infection. Keep out of reach of children.
