Product Information

Strepsils Plus Throat Spray is used as an antiseptic and local anaesthetic for the relief of a sore throat and its associated pain. This spray contains a combination of 2 antibacterials to help kill the bacteria which can cause sore throats and mouth infections and a powerful local anaesthetic which rapidly numbs the pain.

How to use

Who can use?

This product is for use in adults 18 years and over.  

How to use?

One dose (2 sprays) of sprays to the back of the throat every 2 hours. Do not take more than 8 doses in 24 hours. 

Strepsils +Plus Anaesthetic Throat Spray contains Amylmetacresol 0.29mg/spray, 2, 4-Diclorobenzyl Alcohol 0.58mg/spray and Lidocaine 0.78mg/spray for the relief of throat infections.

Not suitable for children under 18 years.

  • Contains alcohol (ethanol) and sorbitol.
  • Contains colouring that may cause allergic reactions.
  • Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breast-feeding, except under medical supervision.
  • Do not take more than 8 doses (16 sprays) in 24 hours.
  • Do not give to children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • KEEP OUT OF THE SIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN.

Active Ingredients

The active ingredient are amylmetacresol, 2,4- dichlorobenzyl alcohol and lidocaine.

The other ingredients are gylcerol (E422), citric acid, levomenthol, peppermint flavour, aniseed flavour, carmoisine edicol (E122), purified water, sodium hydroxide, concentrated hydrochloric acid, ethanol, saccharin and liquid sorbitol.
