Teedex Oral Solution Sugar Free 100ml with Dosing Syringe

• Measure the dose with the syringe supplied - never a kitchen spoon.
• 2 to 4 years: 5ml per dose.
• 4 to 6 years: 7.5ml per dose.
• 6 to 8 years: 10ml per dose.
• 8 to 10 years: 15ml per dose.
• 10 to 12 years: 20ml per dose.
• Give up to three doses in 24 hours, leaving at least 6 hours between doses.
• Not for children under 2 years.

Safety information

Who should not use it

Do not give Teedex to a child under 2 years old; to a child who is allergic to paracetamol, diphenhydramine or any of the ingredients; to a child with epilepsy or porphyria; to a child with hereditary fructose intolerance; to a child already taking any other paracetamol-containing product or any other antihistamine; or to anyone who has taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 14 days.

Warnings & precautions

Teedex causes drowsiness - a child taking it should be kept under supervision. Never give it alongside another paracetamol-containing medicine or another antihistamine, including cough and cold remedies, many of which contain one or the other. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor first if your child has liver or kidney problems, or is taking the antibiotic flucloxacillin. Give the dose for your child's age and no more: an overdose of paracetamol can cause serious and irreversible liver damage. If your child accidentally takes too much, get medical help straight away.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

This is a medicine for children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your pharmacist before taking any medicine containing paracetamol or an antihistamine.

Possible side effects

Commonly drowsiness, headache, a dry mouth, blurred vision, an upset stomach, difficulty passing urine or a build-up of phlegm. Less often dizziness, confusion, a racing heart, low blood pressure, restlessness or difficulty sleeping. Stop giving it and get medical help straight away if your child develops a rash, blistering or peeling skin, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, unexpected bruising or bleeding, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or any problem with movement or coordination.

Each 5ml contains paracetamol 120mg and diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5mg. Sugar free. Contains sorbitol, maltitol, propylene glycol, parahydroxybenzoates (parabens), amaranth (E123) and a small amount of ethanol.
