Telfast Allergy 120mg Fexofenadine Tablets 30 Pack

• Adults and children aged 12 and over: take one tablet (120mg) once a day.
• Swallow the tablet with water, before a meal.
• If you take an indigestion remedy containing aluminium or magnesium, leave about 2 hours between it and Telfast.
• If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose. Take the next one at the usual time.
• Not for children under 12.
• If your symptoms do not improve, or get worse, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Who should not use it

Do not take Telfast Allergy if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the ingredients. Not for children under 12.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you are elderly, if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you have or have had heart disease, as this medicine may cause a fast or irregular heartbeat. Tell them if you take apalutamide (a prostate cancer treatment), which may reduce its effect. It is unlikely to affect driving, but check that it does not make you sleepy or dizzy before you drive or use machines. If you take too many tablets, contact a doctor or your nearest emergency department straight away.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Do not take Telfast Allergy if you are pregnant. It should only be used in pregnancy if a doctor advises it is necessary. It is not recommended while breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Common: headache, drowsiness, feeling sick and dizziness. Uncommon: tiredness or sleepiness. Frequency not known: difficulty sleeping, sleep disorders, bad dreams, nervousness, a fast or irregular heartbeat, diarrhoea, rash, itching, hives, flushing or blurred vision. Stop taking it and get medical help straight away if you get swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, chest tightness or difficulty breathing.

Fexofenadine hydrochloride 120mg per film-coated tablet. Contains less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium per tablet, so it is essentially sodium-free.
