Product Information

Tisserand Organic Patchouli is a pure essential oil distilled from the leaves of the patchouli plant (Pogostemon cablin), grown in Indonesia. It has a rich, earthy, sweet and woody aroma that is a classic base note in aromatherapy blends and natural perfumery.

Use a few drops in a diffuser to scent a room, or blend it into a carrier oil for a fragrant massage. Like all essential oils, it is very concentrated and must always be diluted before it touches the skin.

How to use
  • Diffuser: add 6 to 8 drops to 100ml of water, following your diffuser's instructions.
  • Massage: add up to 5 drops to 10ml of carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil, and mix well before applying.
  • Bath: mix 4 to 6 drops into 20ml of carrier oil, then swirl into the bath water.

Safety information

For external use only. Never swallow or take internally. Do not apply undiluted to the skin; always dilute in a carrier oil or base product first. Avoid contact with the eyes and sensitive areas. Not for use on children under 5. Do not use in the first three months of pregnancy, and speak to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Steam inhalation is not suitable for people with asthma. Stop use if irritation develops. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
