Zirtek Plus Decongestant 5mg/120mg Prolonged Release Tablet 6 Pack

• Swallow one tablet whole with a little liquid, without chewing. It can be taken with or without food.
• Adults and children over 12: 1 tablet twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening.
• If you have moderate kidney or liver problems, reduce to 1 tablet a day.
• Do not use for longer than your symptoms last, and in no case for longer than 2-3 weeks. Once the blocked nose has cleared, you can continue with an antihistamine alone.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to cetirizine, pseudoephedrine, hydroxyzine or any of the ingredients; if you have severe high blood pressure or severe heart disease, an overactive thyroid, closed-angle glaucoma, severe kidney problems, difficulty passing urine, or a history of stroke or its risk factors; if you take (or took in the last 2 weeks) MAOI antidepressants; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are over 50, or have diabetes, a fast or irregular heartbeat, angina, prostate problems, or moderate kidney or liver problems. Do not take with other decongestant or pseudoephedrine products, beta-blockers or stimulants, and avoid alcohol. Contains lactose. Stop and get urgent help if you develop a sudden severe headache or sudden vision changes or loss, as rare effects on blood flow to the brain (PRES/RCVS) or the optic nerve have been reported.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Common effects include a fast heartbeat, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness or difficulty sleeping. Stop use and seek advice if you have an irregular heartbeat, an allergic reaction, or the rare warning signs above.
