Zovirax Cold Sore Cream 2g Pump

• Wash your hands. Apply to the cold sore and the skin just around it 5 times a day, about every 4 hours.
• Start as soon as you feel the first tingle. Continue for 4 days; if it has not healed, you can keep going for up to 10 days.
• Wash your hands after applying, and do not rub the area. Avoid the eyes, mouth and inside the nose.
• If it has not healed after 10 days, stop and see your doctor.

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to aciclovir, valaciclovir, propylene glycol or any ingredient (cetostearyl alcohol may cause a local skin reaction).

Warnings & precautions

For cold sores on the lips and around the mouth only - not for use in the eyes, mouth or genitals. Tell your doctor if you get cold sores very often or if your immune system is weakened, as you may need different treatment.

Possible side effects

A brief burning, stinging or tingling after applying; occasionally dry or flaky skin; rarely a skin reaction (contact dermatitis).
